I'm 75 w/ Thai wife 65.  Will be moving from California. ? being shipping my household stuff including many tools all 110 volt.  Do I need an import agency to clear the way? If so what do they charge and how do I locate one?

I am in Thailand on a 30 day visa-free stamp and just signed a contract to work here. In order to get a longterm visa, must I leave Thailand and show my contract and letter from employer to a Thai embassy? Or can I just go to 'Immigration' in Thailand?

Hi Guys, I'm considering moving to Thailand for 12 months. I work for myself as a freelance designer. Will I need to apply for a type O VISA or is there an alternative route for self employed applicants?

I have a 90 day non Immigrant O visa which was issued in Laos earlier this month, it was a single entry which I used on the 7th Feb, I now find I need to leave the Kingdom for around 1 week in March, is it possible to get another entry on the same visa by visiting an immigration office in Thailand

I will be living in Pattaya for at least 5 months and will need to get part of my Australian pension transferred to a Thai bank each fortnight for living expenses, Some say set it up in Oz thro bank  in $aud or Tbt but transfer fees apply both ends as well as conversion fees, others said Paypal is the way to go, (I'm not sure how)  Some Thai Banks charge 150 tbt to withdraw cash at ATM  Is there any way around this? Has anyone retired to Pattaya just using the pension to live on? If so how did you get around this problem?
